YOUR $7 DANCE ADMISSION FEE INCLUDES: A NOTE ON PARKING: There is FREE parking beneath the studio and in non-metered spaces along the nearby streets. Parking in the lot adjacent to dance studio is only $2 if you obtain a parking permit from Champion's receptionist. The parking permit is re-usable so keep it in your car for return visits. Our ballroom dance music selection includes: waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, tango, Viennese waltz, rumba, cha-cha, samba, merengue, east coast swing, west coast swing, hustle, jitterbug, slow 2 step (NC2), salsa, ... Each song is vetted for song length, clarity of rhythm, a social dance tempo, and more. Champion Ballroom Academy, owned by Ms. Mary Murphy, caters to the Southern California dance community. For your Friday night dance pleasure we offer a romantic dance atmosphere with dimmed lighting, surround sound - big band like ballroom dance music, a variety of tasty refreshments, another "breath of fresh music" playlist by Dr. DJ Jack, and all complimented by the spacious (45'x80') sprung wood dance floor and comfortable seating arrangements. The sprung floor reduces impact on ankles, knees, hips, etc..., hence, less pain and more gain. It is ideal for ballroom dancing and conveniently located for the greater San Diego dancers.
