Viennese Waltz syllabus for December 2011:

fleckerl:

begin with tighter and tighter reverse turns, moving toward center of room

then,

man: forward-side-forward (moving slightly toward her with forward steps),
side-cross behind-side (moving slightly away from her wth 'behind' step; this helps with leading her part, which is forward-side-forward)

woman: side-cross behind-side (moving slightly away from her wth 'behind' step; this helps with leading her part, which is forward-side-forward), forward-side-forward (moving slightly toward her with forward steps)

repeat

then contra check, and change direction of fleceral to natural turning.

same steps for man as above except now going in 'natural' direction
same steps for woman as above except now going in 'natural' direction

after 4 (or 8) measures release to natural turns

all fleceral steps include/require pivot motion (i.e. maintain a tight turning motion of partners while in closed dance position; no sway; heads always to left)
